And We are hitched forever!

Yes,  by the title you must have got it! This was also one of the reasons I could not blog regularly as wedding preparations are going on! But I wanted to post some idea of a typical Maharashtrian engagement. Fast forward, as I dont intend to bore you with the ritual details, will let you know about the attire and dress up as my blog deals with styling.
To start the day, I was wearing blue saree studded with diamond and pearl, and in retro
makeup i.e high bun lined with flowers, partly hairs flowing on shoulders, winged eye liner. Was wearing a diamond choker set and blue studded bangles.
                                                          Saree : Silk Museum, Dadar.
Diamond choker : Local store, Dadar.
Later, for the ceremony, I was supposed to change, for which I had chosen a proper maharashtrian style saree. Wearing this dual shade paithani with peacock handwork, matching bangles and the necklace was gift from mom-in-law. To contrast with me, my fiancè Rishi selected a white Nawabi etched with floral veils design on it. As we exchanged our rings, it was one of the happiest moment for both of us. Sharing few pictures below.
Paithani Saree : Silk museum, Dadar.
Necklace : Waman Hari Pethe, Dadar.
Rishi's Nawabi : Manoj (Next to Paaneri showroom), Dadar.
Nikki was wearing this dark blue gown and styled it with big jhumkas and matching bangles. What I loved of this gown was its back design. And the red heart diamond ring added a charm to the look. Cut it short, posting few pictures.
