What to avoid in your lip balm

Finding where your lip balm went can be tough – but finding the right one can be even tougher. According to, there are a wide variety of allergens and irritants in most lip balm products making them unsuitable to do what they are meant to do – moisturize your lips. In fact, these failing ingredients can make your lips even drier. If you are constantly having to reapply your lip balm, that may actually be a sign that it contains ingredients that ultimately dry your lips instead of moisturize them.

Common Irritants: Camphor, phenol, and menthol
Ingredients like camphor, phenol and menthol are often used in “medicated” lip balms as acids in exfoliating exercises, kind of like chemical peels. While exfoliation sounds like a good idea, it actually tears off the tissue on your lips instead of repairing it. Menthol and camphor can actually burn when used on chapped skin, causing further irritation. Exfoliated skin can also cause sun damage.

Common Allergens: Vitamin E, Fragrances, and Beeswax
A significant percentage of people use lip balm containing Vitamin E experience contact dermatitis (an itchy allergic reaction). Meanwhile, fragrances and dyes found in flavored lip balms can also pave the way for allergic irritation. Beeswax is also common in many lip balms because of its moisturizing capabilities; however, be careful because it is also known as a source of irritation for many. While all of these allergens are not affecting everyone, if you experience dryness or itchiness from your lip balms, check to see if it contains the ingredients above!

If ingredient lists are too overwhelming or you’re still feeling itchiness in your lip balm, go with the ever reliable, one-ingredient formula – Vaseline.

Book Review : "Happiness is all we want" by Ashutosh Mishra

Hey guys! I am back with a brand new review of this phenomenal book " Happiness is all we want" by Ashutosh Mishra. If I have to classify the genre of this book, I would place it between somewhere Self-help and spiritual, but yet a page turner.
Usually self help books or spiritual books are good to understand but difficult to apply, which is not the case with this book. The author has described wonderfully how we perceive happiness and go after it, while it is not what makes us happy. In this world of high competition and ambitions, we have forgotten to define

I am using a china clay bowl. Add the Colourant, developer and Shine tonic to the bowl, using a tinting brush,  mix the contents until it is uniform iin texture, creamy and smooth. Apply the mixture immediately to the hair using the tinting brush. Leave it on for 30 minutes (45 minutes for the deep shade). Add a small amount of water and emulsify for 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
My experience :
As of now, I dont have much hair greying problem but my love to try different shades made me try out this awesome product and shade. Few strands which were greying were covered completely, and as my hair color is black or on darker tone, after using this product it got a deep burgundy shade. It looks more pretty when in sunlight or light in back drop, giving a highlight tough to the hairs. I totally loved the shade and also the hair texture. My hair got smooth, silky and shiny as if deep conditioning is done. I got few compliments too for it.

I would totally recommend to try out this product and let me know your experience here in comments below. Hope this review was enough informative and you loved it. Few more posts coming up soon. Till then, Stay Trendy, Stay Happy!!! You can connect Bblunt on their Facebook Fan page :  Bblunt India
